I know there are several energy saving things we could do such as, replace the seal on the fridge/get a new fridge, replace our 30-40y.o. chest freezer, unplug more (I try but no one else does), new low water toilets would be great. I wuld also love to composte and have my own garden but...we'll work on it.
Right now we do have the CFL energy saving light bulbs and have had for several years. I only use re-usable grocery bags, we recycle everything we possibly can; I even make my hubby take a recycling bin to work to use-and they actually do! (we pick it up and recycle with ours), we just replaced our washer and dryer with the high efficiency Duet, we replaced our 13-15 y.o. electric hot water heater with a higher efficiency gas model (cut our electric bill in half), the boys are rabid about turning out lights so we are good there. We also use environmentally safe cleaning products.
Can anyone else think of anything to add?
