Well Rosie got to come home yesterday. She is mostly laying around, but can hobble. Lots of meds, but ok.
On the job front, good and bad news. I sort of got the job. I can have the job, if I can work third shift. I can work thirds on the weekend and they will give me 24 hours on the weekend but still leaves me 16 hours short of full time. But if I am working out by Elle's school and don't get off until she has to be in school, how the hell am I supposed to get her there?
I talked to the Admissions Director and got the names of not one but two boys from the next town (less than 10 miles) over who are now going to KCHS, I am going to call today and see about carpooling. If I can get her a ride I can take the job and work in Morristown (20miles closer) for at least 16 of those hours. Of course Elle doesn't want anyone picking her up here.
I think part of the job that sucks is that I know I am WAY over qualified for this position, I think they knew it too and offered it to me before even interviewing everyone and trying to work out what days and times I could work around when taking Elle to school. The other part of the problem is that it doesn't pay SHIT, and she said there is a pay raise after 90 days but there is a freeze on pay right now...and has been for 10 years by the state and they are state funded. Not sure exactly what that means. So this means if I start working there, I will definitely keep looking.
