Was watching grey's anatomy... and there were so many instances that interns wanted so bad to get a chance at scrubbing in. There were many times when they wanted to dig out the truth, to do the right thing, even when it's not required. It's called going the extra mile. Maybe because they are new, they are still gung-ho. It's kinda like new NSF 2LTs who go by the book, do everything right, paranoid over little problems. Interns have their fair share of panic and worries on top of their long long long working hours. We need to cut them some slack. If you know an intern, treat him well and be nice to him. The values that an intern has sometimes follow through as they move up the hierarchy, some eventually become great doctors, but there will also be a few not that fantastic ones. To do things with your brain or do things with your heart? Are you willing to break a rule when your heart says so or are you just gonna keep quiet and let things be? Be nice to an intern you know today. =P
