Living Room & Hallway
This is a solid oak mantel that I picked up at the local antique shop. It is a great architectural feature to add character to a space. (And hold your tchotchkes) There is no fireplace to go with it, unfortunately. The disco balls were put up for Xmas one year & never got taken down. When the afternoon sun hits them just right, they sparkle up the room with dots of reflected light.
My bay window is kind of a wreck right now, but this is what it looks like at Christmastime.
I painted my hallway in RL "Acadia", which is this wonderful luminous deep navy, like the sky in the bay window above. I did the ceiling blue as well and stenciled silver stars here & there.
