When did casette tapes become "old technology"? Sure, they're not the most up to date thing to use these days, but I remember using them quite frequently during my childhood, so they can't be completely obsolete (unless I'm really old? Don't answer that). I needed to find a blank tape to record Carm Jams tonight, but from Radio Shack to Microcenter they all gave me looks like I was asking for an 8-track or one of those phonographs that you had to crank with a handle.
Thank the Lord for the record store near my building, where they not only had blank tapes, but actual 8-tracks (not that I needed 8-tracks. Just seeing them there reassured me that the world isn't too modern to hold on to something more than ten years old). I don't see why it's so hard to carry tapes, from what I can tell that's still the way most people record things. Anyway, props to In Your Ear for saving my ass.
So now that I know I can record it...why not listen to my hour long Cram Jam tonight at 8pm on WTBU's website at www.wtburadio.org ? (I seriously need to learn to how do an LJ cut, or what ever those hyperlink thingys are). I will be playing 60's music...between that and my need for old technology I sound like an old person. Hmm, guess that explains why I need Depends...
...Joke. Or so I hope. :-)
