So despite my own wishes I am going to be staying at BU. The reason is that it makes the most sense to stay, they have everything I want to major in (which I can't say for many other schools) and when it comes right down to it, it's just the most logical thing to do. True, I'm not all that happy here, but I do have the notion that that can change

2) I'm glad you've decided to give it time... my sister told me when I started college that freshman year is the most awkward time, and tha she really didn't make any of her real long-lasting friends until sophmore year. And you're right to get involved more, because as I've found it's a great way to meet people, even if they don't become your biffle. Just give it time, and if you still are unhappy, you'll work it out from there.
3) While I agree with you saying that being nonjudgemental really helps in the college atmosphere to not immediately shut people out, I would have mos def laughed at that girl who thought Andy Warhol was a handbag designer. Tell her to take a contemporary art history course.
4) It is f-ing cold where I am too. Like whoa. It sucks.
5) My mommy sent Tastykakes back up to school with me because they don't have them here... at least Boston is a civilized place to go to school.

Anywho...I'd say about school, do what you feel you need to do, and everything else be damned. Nice and vague, but I'm all about self-destiny (if that isn't a word, it is now). And hopefully I'll talk to you soon, so we can discuss this without having to type it all.
