I got to find a way to get away

For the record, I did not go to Coffee House. I attempted to, but as soon as I pulled up and met Kat and Josiah I received a call from Jamie telling me it was cancelled for that day. Ofcourse. So we pestered Ms. Gold for a bit, and reminisced, and went our separate ways. Which in the long run is good, since what I had written was all kinds of crap and it wouldn't have done much for my street rep, y'know?

So I've been back in Boston for a bit...and I can't wait to leave. Although I put the idea of transferring on the back burner of my brain while I attempted to make it better for myself here, it hasn't gotten better and I'm wondering how long it takes working at it before it's clear that maybe it just won't happen and where you are is just not the place for you. I don't know what else to do at this point, but finding a better school has been appealing for so long and now I think I'm ready to seriously go through with it.

Problem is: I'm doing well academically here, and BU really is a good school. And they have one of the best communications departments in the country...so if in fact I do want to major in that I'd be insane to leave. I don't think there's much of a chance of my parents letting me leave a prestigous place for somewhere like Hampshire, which I'm starting to like, based on the website at least.

Oh well. Whatever happens at least there's comfort in knowing that I got to ride on the T with DJ Nighttrain, and that is worth it all.

Who is DJ Nighttrain you ask? He's this guy who rides on the Red Line with a giant backpack with a boombox in it. During the T ride, he blasts techno music and mimes scratching. This is specifically great if you're drunk and feel like dancing, or just enjoy watching other passengers do just that.

He joins my list of interesting people, among which is the guy who rides a bike down Comm Ave...while playing the drums. How? I don't know, but as of yet I have never seen his bike veer off course or him break a steady beat. I met him once, when the radio show on after the one I was working on had him on as a guest. Awesome? Yeah, I think so.

I think the small handful of people and stories you end up with in the end makes anything worth going through.

EDIT: There was a typo in the last entry. All of those songs were supposed to be only one song, and that one song is "I don't feel like Dancing" by the Scissor Sisters.

Ooh child.
