GREEN DAY ON SATURDAY!
My dad got tickets for the Green Day concert in Göteborg on Saturday and I am going! My mum asked me last night if I wanted to but I wasn't sure if I could because of school work. But now I have talked to my study/project group and I can go! YAY!
Many of you might not know this but I am a pretty big fan of punk music, well I have a very broad taste in music but my favourite genres is punk/punk-rock (i.e Green Day, Blink 182, Nofx), j-pop (i.e KAT-TUN, News), old school rock (i.e The Kinks, The Who) and pop (i.e Robbie Williams, Brittney Spears) music. I have loved punk for as long as I can remember and been to both a couple of punk rock festivals as well as watched a few bands live in concert. This will actually be my second time watching Green Day, watched them 5 years ago with my friend Linda. This time however I am going with my family ^^
I've gone to quite a few concerts with my parents, which is great when I haven't had anyone else to go with (and my dad gets free tickets through work sometimes). I've watched both The Rolling Stones and Robbie Williams with my mum and dad. And then just last fall I went and saw Ray Davies (the lead in The Kinks) with my mum. I was pretty much the youngest in the audience with the rest of them being 45+ XD
And now I will finish this post with the words of one of my favourite Green Day songs, which is also one of their sweeter and not so much punk songs.
