A/N: Oh, I wrote this really quickly (less than 2 hours) and it might not be that good but I still wanna post it because KameTego needs more love! I dedicate this one to all the fans of this pairing!
Kame walked down the hallway towards KAT-TUN dressing room when he saw Tegoshi in the other end of the hall. Their eyes locked for a moment and Kame flashed the other a soft smile and a wave. Tegoshi smiled back but stumbled slightly backwards and crashed into a potted plant and down to the floor. A blush of embarrassment sneaked up on his face and Kame hurried up to Tegoshi to see if he was okay.
“Are you okay Tegoshi-kun?” He asked as reached out a hand to help the younger one up.
“Ah, yes I’m okay Kamenashi-kun” Tegoshi smiled as he got back up on his feet. His cheeks was still a bit flushed “I was just a bit clumsy.”
“Be more careful next time” Kame smiled again and patted Tegoshi’s shoulder. Tegoshi almost tripped over again but managed to keep his balance with the help of Kame. “Are you sure you’re okay? Maybe you should see a doctor?”
“No, I’m okay” Tegoshi brushed him off. “I need to go now Kamenashi-kun. It was nice seeing you”
“Okay, take care” Kame said with a soft smile and Tegoshi turned around and quickly walked away. Kame scratched the back off his neck watching the younger one disappear. It seemed like every time they had ran into each other ever since Dream Boys had ended Tegoshi would stumble or trip over. He had no memory of ever seeing him like that before, and during Dream Boys Tegoshi had not once as much as stumbled. When Tegoshi was out of sight Kame turned back around and walk up to the door that would lead him into KAT-TUN’s dressing room.
Later that day Kame was down in the cafeteria with Jin and Yamapi. They were having their lunch break and catching up on things. They were laughing along to some anecdote Yamapi had told them about his solo concert when Tegoshi accompanied with Shige and Masuda arrived. Kame once again caught the other’s eyes and flashed him a smile. Tegoshi stumbled backwards and crashed into Shige who crashed into Masuda who in turn stumbled into a random junior. They all ended up in a heap on the floor and causing locomotion. Kame followed by Yamapi and Jin quickly made their way towards the heap. Kame was seriously starting to get a bit worried about Tegoshi now. Something seriously must be wrong with the younger one.
“Tegoshi-kun are you okay?” Kame said kneeling down on the floor next to the other and completely ignoring the others. “Are you sure you’re not sick? This is the second time you end up on the floor today”
“I really am okay” Tegoshi blushed not daring to meet Kame’s eyes. “I’m just clumsy”
“Since when are you clumsy?” Yamapi asked as he helped Masuda up from the floor. Tegoshi blushed deeper as he glared at his leader as if trying to shut him up.
“You haven’t noticed?” Kame asked surprised looking from Yamapi to Tegoshi and back to Yamapi again. “He’s been stumbling and tripping every time I’ve seen him since Dream Boys ended”
“He has?” Masuda asked getting into the conversation.
“Can you all stop talking about me like I am not in the room” Tegoshi pouted.
“Ah, sorry Tegoshi-kun” Kame smiled as he grabbed a hold of Tegoshi’s hand and helped him up. Tegoshi didn’t reply instead he stared down on their hands before he quickly pulled away his hand as if he had got a burned by something.
“I… I…” Tegoshi started looking at everyone but Kame. “I need to go to the bathroom.” And with that he dashed out from the cafeteria.
Kame blinked a few times before he turned to meet the other’s eyes.
“What’s with him?” He asked even though he thought that no one would be able to answer his question.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Shige answered and drew the attention to him.
“It is?” Kame asked surprised and leaned in closer to Shige as the other had motioned him and the rest to do. When everyone was close enough for no one except for the five of them to hear Shige started to talk again.
“Tegoshi-kun is having a crush on you Kamenashi-kun” Shige whispered.
“No way!” Jin said in disbelief.
“Yes way” Shige said amused. “That’s why he gets so nervous around you. I wasn’t sure about it until I found out about all his clumsiness. He’s been spacing out a lot lately, and I’ve caught him more than once gazing at pictures of you in magazines. But I just thought that maybe it was simple admiration from him.”
“But I always thought he was with Masuda-kun” Kame said and looked at the said man.
“Tego and I?” Masuda looked amused. “What could ever make you think that way? We’re just good friends”
“Don’t change the subject” Yamapi interjected “Because that has nothing to do with it. What I wanna know is what Kame is going to do now“
“I… I…” Kame started but stopped to think for a moment “I don’t know”
“You don’t feel the same, do you?” Shige asked.
“No” Kame sighed “I haven’t even thought about something like that. I mean he is really pretty and nice“ Kame ignored the snort he got from Jin. “and his voice when he sings makes shivers run down my spine. And he can really make me laugh at times and his eyes are just amazingly beautiful. They’re shinning like two stars whenever he smiles, and he smiles a lot doesn’t he?”
“Are you really sure you don’t like Tego?” Yamapi inquired amused after Kame’s little speech. “Because it sound like you do to me”
“It does?” Kame got surprised again and eyed each of them as they nodded their heads.
“Even though I don’t want to admit it” Jin said “It really do sound like you like him. Why I have no idea”
“He has lots of good qualities” Kame defended Tego. “If you would just spend more time with him you would see them too”
“I guess I’ll be forced to do so now that you two will start dating” Jin said rolling his eyes. “But don’t expect any miracles.”
“Start dating?” Kame said confused. Since when was it decided that he and Tegoshi would start dating. Had he missed something?
“Yes, you both like each other” Yamapi smiled. “That’s the only natural thing to do then, right?”
Kame blinked a few times before he got out from the crowed of friends and work colleagues. He looked in the direction in which Tegoshi had disappeared. Did he like Tegoshi? Well of course he did. What was it not to like about the younger one. He was nice, if sometimes a bit bratty; he was beautiful, smart, funny and talented and he had a dazzling smile.
“Just go after him” Yamapi nudged him in the back with his elbow. “Just do it.”
Kame turned and smiled at his friend before he dashed away towards the closest toilet hoping to find Tegoshi there.
Even if he wasn’t sure if he liked Tegoshi quite the same way as the younger one liked him he would at least talk to him. He would explain it to Tegoshi and hopefully the younger one would understand him. He really didn’t want to hurt the other in any way. He cautiously opened the door to the bathroom and walked in slowly.
“Tegoshi-kun?” He called out. “Are you there? I need to talk to you”
One of the doors to the cubicles opened slowly and Tegoshi came out with a soft smile on his face.
“You wanted to talk to me?” he said closing the door behind him and leaned against it.
“I…” Kame started but paused and looked down at his feet. Maybe it was because he knew that Tegoshi liked him but he was suddenly feeling all nervous and his stomach seemed to do back flips to the rhythm of his increasing heart beat.
“I… I know that you like me” he said a moment later and glanced over at Tegoshi. Their eyes met for a brief second before they both seemed to lose their balance. Kame grabbed a hold of the wall behind him to keep himself to stand up while Tegoshi grabbed a hold of the handle to the cubicle.
“You do?” Tegoshi asked nervous.
“Yes, and I think I like you too” Kame said pushing his back against the wall as he glanced towards Tegoshi. “But I am not quite sure yet. It might just be because I know that you like me but it might as well not be. Maybe I really do like you. Do you understand what I am saying?”
“I… I think so” Tegoshi said smiling cautiously.
“So, uh, yeah” Kame said trying to compose himself as he pushed himself away from the wall. “So, do you maybe go out for dinner or a drink or something?”
“You mean as a date?” Tegoshi smiled hopefully.
“Yes” Kame smiled back “and then just let’s just see where it goes from here, okay?”
“Thank you so much Kamenashi-kun” Tegoshi beamed and threw himself around a surprised Kame’s neck. “I am so happy”
“I’m happy too” Kame said as he got out from the shock and wrapped his arms around the younger one. And he really was happy; it felt just right holding the other in his embrace.
They pulled out of the embrace a couple of minutes later but didn’t let go of each other. They both suddenly got back to feeling shy and awkward not quite daring to look at the other. Yet another minute passed before they both lifted their gaze to meet the other’s eyes. Tegoshi’s eyes sparkled like Kame had never seen them do before and he almost got lost in them. He licked his lips nervously as he suddenly felt this strange urge to kiss the younger one but he held back. They couldn’t just kiss like that. Not in a bathroom at work. It just isn’t romantic! He licked his lips again as he saw how Tegoshi bit down on his lower lip. He closed his eyes to try and force the thought of kissing the younger one out of his mind. He took a deep breath and was just about to close his mouth again when he felt the other’s lips close down on his. He gasped in surprise and opened his eyes but closed them just as quickly replying to the kiss. It was a soft kiss. It was an awkward kiss. It was an amazing kiss. Tegoshi was caressing his lips sensually making Kame’s legs turn into jelly and he had to take hold of the other’s neck to keep himself from falling. When Tegoshi probed him to open the mouth slightly more to let their tongues into the dance he more than gladly did so. The taste of Tegoshi totally took over Kame’s senses and he could not understand any more why he ever doubted liking Tegoshi. The kiss had to come to an end when they really could not be out of air any longer. Kame panted heavily as he opened his eyes and looked at the other. Tegoshi was panting just as hard and a big smile was decorating his beautiful face.
“I, I’m quite sure” Kame started trying to compose his breath.
“Quite sure of what?” Tegoshi asked his eyes sparkling at him and Kame almost lost himself again.
“That, that I really do like you” Kame answered but then corrected himself “No I am really, really sure that I like you”
Tegoshi didn’t reply anything to that and instead he leaned into kiss Kame again. Their lips locked again and once again Kame felt his legs turn to jelly but this time he couldn’t hold himself up. He fell down onto the floor, almost knocking his head into the wall, and he dragged Tegoshi down with him. Kame couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the incident and Tegoshi soon joined in with him.
“I seem to be falling a lot in the presence of you” Tegoshi said as they composed themselves and they both sat up leaning their backs against the wall. “But I really don’t mind”
“I don’t mind either” Kame smiled and took a hold of Tegoshi’s hand. “As long as I’m the only one you’re falling for”
“You’re so sappy” Tegoshi said nudging Kame’s head with his own.
“So?” Kame said turning his head to face him.
“So nothing” Tegoshi said and then leaned in to kiss Kame again.
