I have never felt so incredibly disgusting, hot (as in temperature), utterly soaked in sweat (and a good deal of it not my own...that's really gross) and physically exhausted as I did tonight. And yet it was one of the best nights of my life.
To clarify: Taking Back Sunday concert at Numbers (but we know the truth: Fall Out Boy was the real reason to go)
Fucking amazing. Even the openers (Support is the Varsity and Matchbook Romance) were good. During Matchbook Romance I found myself in the absolute middle of the mosh. It was interesting, two people fell on my head and that hurt. ow.
And then...Fall Out Boy, so amazing in concert. wow. And by then Christine and I had both worked our way up to the front so as to be less in the mosh and more in the front. Tres bien.
They were so good. I can't even describe it. And I could sing the words to every song, except the ones not released which was awesome. I don't care if the headliner was TBS, Fall Out Boy was superior.
((coke and water))
Taking Back Sunday was awesome in concert as well, actually even better than I thought they would be. We saw Tyler Gibson there (HA I knew we'd see someone familiar) and talked to him a bit. By then we'd left the crowd and moved to the back, and during the TBS set these two guys randomly faux-bump into me and stand in front of us. The progression of events after that can be summed up as: I have never been so blatantly hit upon in America. And it was completely uninitiated by us, we were just standing there. So that was a point of interest of the night. Although our interesting conversation was cut short by Tyler inadvertantly, I think he was a tad uncomfortable that these two random guys were talking to us. whatev. So after TBS we gave Tyler a ride to his car since we had amazingly lucky parking and he had an awful space since he went to Maverick Mayhem first. Of course we couldn't find his car for awhile because he didn't remember where he parked, so we just cruised Montrose for a while looking for it. And then we went to Taco C and got a 44 oz. Coke which we managed to consume in less than 5 minutes. That's alot of Coke.
nutshell:
-amazing music
-hottest night of my life
-haHA double entendre
-driving adventure
-hella lot of amazingly good Coke from Taco C
-sooo tired. and happy. and good.
Yes, Christine, "our boys" were "fucking amazing".
