CHALLENGE TIME.
If you've ever thought: boy, I'd love to do
kink_bingo but I'm just not into porn! If you've ever thought: boy, writing fight scenes sure is frustrating, I probably need more practice! If you've ever thought: boy, I just really want to write the shit out of some violence! Or if you just want to sign up for yet another fic challenge:
THEN FIGHT_BINGO IS FOR YOU!
fight_bingo is basically
kink_bingo for fights! If you're familiar with
kink_bingo you should know the basic drill, but here's how it's going to work in my small time knock off version:
You comment here here and I give you a fight_bingo card. Each card has 24 prompts chosen at random from a list of around 40, plus one free square. You have until 21-9-2012 to get bingo on your card either by writing fight-y fic or drawing fight-y fanart!
How do I get bingo?
You need to complete five prompts forming a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line through your card! Example:
That's a bingo! Or if you're really hardcore, you can complete a blackout bingo, using every single prompt on your card.
What is the minimum word count for fic?
Minimum word count for each fic is 500 words.
What do I do with the "free" square?
Whatever you like! Well, you must write a fight, but apart from that you have free reign. The image in the free square isn't intended as a prompt, unless you want to use it as one.
So can I write like, a screaming match? That's a kind of fight.
Nope. All fights must be physically focussed. Of course you can write a screaming match in any fic you like, so long as there is a physical fight in there.
So it has to be two people going at each other?
Sort of. Any fight can be dreamed, imagined, obsessed over, planned out, talked about, dissected, watched by a character or simply a playfight involving an element of any square (say, the Industrial/Construction square: two BFFs are workin' construction, and have a playfight where one pins the other person and nails their clothing to a wall as a practical joke). Thinking outside the square is A-OK. There's just got to be a fight.
But what does (THAT PROMPT) mean? Would (IDEA) work for it?
Here is a quick rundown of each prompt. If you still have questions,
here's the Q&A thread. Ask away! What do I do when I get bingo?
When you complete one line bingo or a blackout, come on back to your thread in this post (don't forget to bookmark your comment when you ask for a card!) and link to your fics or art!
You will get a little banner saying you're a winner and implying you're an awesome human being.
That's the basics!
