how do these prompt things work? part 2 swear_jar September 21 2011, 11:06:22 UTC

Play: A play fight.

Wrestle: Fight must involve wrestling/grappling at close quarters.

Brawl: Fight must involve more than two people.

Subtle: A fight that may not be obvious to the casual observer as it happens.

Messy/dirty: A fight wherein at least one participant gets particularly dirty. Maybe it's raining and muddy, maybe it's a food fight, maybe someone just bleeds a hell of a lot.

Picking a fight: Someone must start a fight deliberately. Because of reasons.

Revelation: A fight which tells one character something about another or themselves. Maybe it's just that the person they're fighting can't throw a punch, maybe it's they're a cowards, maybe it's that they like to be hit.

Weapons: A fight that involves traditional weaponry. Ninja stars! Swords! Axes! If it's used for killing or maiming, it fits here.

Draw: This fight must end in a draw.

Fail: An unsuccessful fight. Maybe a character realises they can't fight, maybe the fight is interrupted, maybe they both start laughing, maybe the big dramatic moment is interrupted when a character's pet dog bites the person they're fighting with.

Death/major injury: Fight must end in the death of a character or the majory injury of a character. For the extremely squeemish, this does not have to be a main character, but you get pretend gold stars if it is.

Sledgehammer: Fight must involve a sledgehammer.

Biting: Fight must involve biting/being bitten.

Just Doing My Job: Assassins and heavies and killers, oh my! Fight must involve a professionals who get paid to put the hurt on people. They don't, perhaps, have to be getting paid for it right then. But they do have to be pros.

Kitchen/Bathroom: Fight must take place in either a kitchen or a bathroom.

Headbutt: Fight must involve someone being headbutted.

Hair Pulling: Fight must involve someone's hair being pulled.

Naked: Fight must involve a naked person or someone getting naked. For examples of this, I would direct everyone to Eastern Promises.

Silence: Fight must take place in silence. Participants not talking to each other would count, as would trying not to be overheard.

Anger: A fight that is started by, involves or sparks intense anger.
