Ug. Yes. Killing Neal would make sense. I hope they go with Emma feeling guilty for not grieving very much, rather than something more maudlin.

Maybe Neal could try some noble self sacrifice. Would make up at least a little for what an incredible bastard he was to Emma, framing her for his crime. He could have left her anywhere. Leaving her for the cops (and I've never forgotten that while August gave Neal a gigantic wad of cash for Emma, all Neal left for Emma was the damn car) was just a giganticly assy thing to do.

I like that Hook likes tough babes, and that he likes grown ass women - even women with children. So. He's got my vote for winning Emma. :-) Though - I like het ships and canon ships, in general, so I'm pretty easy as long as there is at least a minimum of chemistry.... And since they probably won't go the bi/lesbian route with Henry's Two Moms, I'd like Regina to get someone who really, genuinely likes her. Robin seems tough enough to fight back when she's being especially self-pitying.

The 11 episode structure may help them alot. 22 ends up with a fair amount of filler....

It's odd that I don't care for any of the canon het ships in OUAT, but that might have to do with the fact that it's one of the very rare shows where I have two female protagonists whom I like almost equally (Regina a little more, because hello, type!), which means OTP! I don't usually function this way fannishly - usually I tend to fall for one character and ship them with everyone (which is easy with Lana Parilla having chemistry with a spoon, and yet!).

My only complaint with Hook's turnaround is that is requires a little more plot investment than it has had so far. A few weeks ago he left her to rot and was happily collaborating with Cora - I get that he's an opportunist and he's currently in love, but can we please address the continuity issues once? Just once, after which we can move on with the shipping. I'm grown genuinely fond of him though, so I'm glad he's stuck around. His face is ridiculous.

Heh, and yes - of course they won't go that route. They will Emma date a flying monkey before they have her date women! Wait, that actually happened. (This is such a stupid show. I enjoy it muchly.)
