THISSSS. Your post is basically all my thoughts on Fringe right now.
I really loved seeing Anna Torv play William Bell, I thought it was one of the most epic things I've seen in a long time... but at the same time, I found myself getting so ANGRY every time Bell spoke. I don't think the narrative so far has condoned what William Bell and Walter did to Olivia as a child, but this episode? William Bell, you have some fucking nerve. I really wanted cartoon!Olivia to punch him or at least get righteously angry and tell him what a bastard he is.
But you're right, Olivia picks up the pieces and rises above, that's what she does. And I like that, but I do think she's way overdo for some healthy anger about everything.
I hadn't thought about it, but you're so right about Altlivia and what happened to her. I know a lot of people felt more sympathetic to her after that episode - obviously I have loved her since she first quirked her eyebrow - and it makes sense that it's for the reasons you mention. (Altlivia hate makes me SO TWITCHY, I can't deal.)
Anna Torv looked like she was having a lot of fun! But yes, UGH WILLIAM BELL just how is he so skeevy? I'm glad he's gone, but I wouldn't be surprised if he came back to haunt us again!

PUNCHING. Punching Walternate in the face.

I love that she's unambiguously one of the good guys now. I mean, I too fell in love with her the moment she showed up, but I get why many people didn't like her - we never saw her in her universe, in her element. All she needed was an opportunity to be Olivia.
