Indiana Jones: The Complete Soundtracks Collection [John Willilams] [Box set] [Soundtrack]
I'll either get it tomorrow or Tuesday... either way, after all these years of waiting, I can almost taste it!
Now that it has been confirmed that some of the choices made in the set are less than what I would consider ideal, I'm going to be putting together my own version of the scores from each film, restoring "Desert Chase" to its proper length, splicing a complete version of "Belly of the Steel Beast" and so on. I might also get a little... er... 'creative' with assembling my version of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. We shall see. Frankly, I'm looking forward to editing these playing versions as much as I am hearing the new music!
It is for this reason that I have placed my plans to revise The Uncanny X-Men on the back-burner at present. I don't want to have to start work on a potentially in-depth mix project when the Indy set is on its way and will need work just for it to be satisfying for me to listen to. I have quite a lot of notes on that first CD, however, and will get back to that project once I have arranged my respective Indy playlists.
