Wheeeee, update!
New House!
That's right, I've moved!
The new place is HUGE! I mean it. The dining table which took up most of the room at the old place now looks like it's a coffee table, the room is that big around it. 10 foot ceilings made the bedrooms look tiny too, until we put the furniture in them. Originally we worried we wouldn't fit the beds in them, but they fit easily, and then there's still room for desks and junk around them. Hell, could probably fit TWO queen size beds in this room and still have space between them.
Comet, the family dog, is loving it. The house is on a 1.5 acre block. Maurice, the cat, is a little less sure of things, but that's to be expected. Not sure how he'll react to the giant moths I've seen out here a few nights.
We also have a Shed. That's a capital S because it's BIG. The former owner apparently had a monster truck. There's room for at least two in the shed. I've already started turning it into a workshop. Which is just as well, there's a LOT of furniture to fix. Including the piano. It's already been in less than great condition, but this last move left it in pieces. I was planning to pull it apart to fix the tuning board anyway, so I guess this has saved me a bit of time. I also need to fix the tv stand, two book-cases and two wall units. Busy, busy.
Going to be a great place for throwing parties, too. There are already plans to throw my sister's 21st and my mum's 50th in the shed out back. One of the computers will probably do as a portable sound system, too.
