Socialization

I avoided doing homework, today. This is very bad. In other news, I went to this fifty's diner type place and had a British Burger. This thing was probably the worst thing in the world that one could eat. It was a burger with bacon, ham, fried egg, and cheddar cheese on it. I went there with this young lady named Michelle (ilovebeuford), and then we saw the feature-length film Thumbsucker starring Vince Vaughn, Keanu Reeves, Vincent D'Onorfrio, and some young chick with a nice pair. It was pretty damn good and much better than the book. Four out of five stars. Once I arrived home, I talked with some fellas, had a cigarette, and then they tried to install a wireless card onto my computer so that I wouldn't have the best connection by way of my Ethernet cord. After two hours and three episodes of Arrested Development, they gave up and needed to borrow my Arrested Development DVD's. With Gregory's encouragement, I have decided to try to organize a zombie flash mob for Halloween ( http://www.livejournal.com/community/eugenecommunity/653748.html ). I have gotten quite a bit of positive response to this. I have talked to some folks in the house, and they too have saluted my flag. Some have even bowed down to the flag. I think they may have a bullet in their fucking head. It appears a lot of folks in the house have picked up the smoking habit since moving in. Must be from the vibe left over from the frat boys. While the fellas were working on my computer, a young lady, who was looking for some housemate, stopped by. She looked more like a guy and was hoping to somehow view Nip/Tuck this evening. I don't get any TV worth mentioning and don't know where one gets Nip/Tuck, but she stuck around and watched Arrested Development. I was under the impression that people couldn't get into the house. It was scary. I just tried to gross her the fuck out so she'd leave, but then she said the guy she was waiting for was good with computers, so I humored him, I mean her. She kept calling this guy, and he kept saying he was on his way, but he didn't show up for about an hour. And then, he couldn't do shit for my computer. No skin off my ass. I offered PBR's around. It was cool being social, but the whole plan was to do homework after the movie. I have been taking a bit of a fatalistic look at my education, recently. I'll try my hardest to do well, but if I fail, I fail. It's not the end of the world. I keep thinking that I need to do this to make something of myself, but I don't really. I can always fuck up and get a job making covers that go over the screws in office chairs, live efficiently, and meet people. In my free time, I will write for fun. I will always have problems. There were times today that I was able to let my guard down and just be myself. I just need to be able to start doing this with Holly and the other psych folks. This is called socialization. I assimilate, and they accommodate. And, we progress-itate.
