A quick dreams post

I neglected to record this more or less immediately, so the only part that I retain is at the end. Nonetheless, here it is:

There are vague bits about going through some kind of tour, along the lines of maybe venturing through a fun house. It gets much sharper at this point: I, with a crowd of other people, enter a room with an entrance and exit. The entrance closes behind us and the exit closes as well, both metal doors. Then hatches open all around the room and small robot-ey things come out of them. They're about chest high to me, and they run about on wheels. They're made of some sort of silvery-gray metal, and are actually kinda cute, in a retro-robot kinda way. It then becomes clear in the way it does in dreams that what we must do is beat these robots. All of us has a sack filled with something somewhat heavy but not especially hard. There is a long period of beating the robots with these sacks, but they keep getting up! Also, the robots are oddly soft - they deform under the force of the sack, but spring back to form afterwards. Eventually, I beat one over the head hard and long enough to literally beat its brains out of its mouth. The brain is just some ovoid, kinda soft, also grayish metal, and softly pulsing.
I tell everyone that we need to beat the things over the head, and then I wake up.
...the feeling I had was that beating them over the head for so long with something so ineffectual was really discouraging, but I was immensely satisfied when the brain popped out.
