I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
And I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms
She pulls herself up into a kneeling position, checks herself for any deep cuts and feels absolutely wretched.
She can’t stop, can’t wait and she has no clue where any of them are… Grubbs is gone, Beranabus is gone, Kernel is gone and everything else is far away.
This… Scares her, it reminds her of the few times she actually did get lost as a child and wondered the streets crying for her mother or her father or anybody to help her find her way back.. It was a terrifying feeling, one being steadily repeated under a Demonic tree at midnight.
She wished she had Kernel, Kernel would be able to sooth this sudden fear and then they could go and find Beranabus and Grubbs and everything would be absolutely fine.
“Kernel” she mutters under her breath, squeezing her eyes shut “Kernel?”
And then to her surprise a vision comes… And she is quickly up on her feet and running fast.
Wouldn’t want to be late for the future after all.
“Kernel!”
“Nadia!”
And everything is alright again.
