hey, so, wow.
i just wanted to post a reply to ben's livejournal and discovered i had to create my own user.. and gosh its taken me a little time.
hi! its sarah! ...i'm actually very busy lately, but today i've been forced home early (i've been staying till 8pm other days)..and early is only 5:30pm cause they're painting the floors of the studio/turned gallery this eve.. i was going to stay and work on this really tricky bit of my art-piece-thing.. the 12ft by 8ft monstrocity that's been driving me insane.
but, i've almost fully installed the other two pieces i'll have in the show.. so i'm near the end.
i suppose i'm not explaining very well for those of you that don't know what the hell i'm doing. i'm building my degree show - i'm in the final few weeks of the final year or my BA in Fine Art. and on Monday, is my ...dum dum DUM, final assessment - the 20 or 30 minutes that 75% of my degree is based on.. the other 25% being the dissertation handed in in February.
anyway so this assessment is us, in the gallery space we've turned out studios into, in front of our work, talking about it. and i haven't finished my work yet.
but hey, i always like a challenge.
i'll post pictures of the show in a few weeks when i've had time to breathe. i've got three pieces in the show - and you'll notice i use the word 'piece' cause they're not paintings, they're interactive (well, 2 out of 3 are) sculptures.. made from found objects and such. and all of them make sound. i think they're alright.
so anyway i've only got till the end of this week..
but i've been trying very hard to just Chill Out, cause i kinda had a few freak-outs.
anyway i won't be posting on this very much in the next week. that's all i'm saying.
