ok, so i guess i'd better bring you all up to speed..
I will be flying into Chicago on the 16th (monday) to sort out my visa..
this has been a very hard decision to come to, and i'm in a bit of a state..
i've bought a round trip ticket for two weeks later (the 1st of june) and, assuming i get my visa, I will return to england.
i've made an appointment at the embassy in chicago for the 17th - visas can be issued same-day, but i'm not holding my breath.. they say that if it isn't sorted that day, that it should be sorted within ten days of that interview, which is why i've bought my ticket for two weeks.
the plan is for me to stay in chicago until the 19th (with my friend, fuzz), go to this interview, and then catch a train down to st louis to join my parents who will be flying down there that day. i'll stay at elizabeth's for a while, then probably head back up to michigan. mom suggested maybe trying to get together on memorial day weekend with the fam, just not sure what will happen, really.
but, as you all know, matthew and i are planning to make a trip to michigan this summer, so if i dont get to see any of you this trip i'll see you then - at the moment i'm a bit frustrated with everything, feel a bit down, and i'm very unhappy about leaving matthew here, leaving him to deal with everything that's still going on here...
but, anyway, i just wanted to let you all know what's happening,
