hello again.
so.. i realize i haven't written since my birthday.
i wanted you all to know i had a really nice birthday.. thanks for the cards, grandma and grandpa. matthew got me way too many gifts, including tickets to see ani difranco in march, and taking me to london on the day of my birthday to go see a play - Over here, it was big news a little while ago that Kevin Spacey bought up this very old theatre, the Old Vic, and did it up and is running it now.. Matthew got tickets to a show with kevin spacey in it, at the old vic.. National Anthem (
http://www.oldvictheatre.com/index2.htm ), which, oddly enough, takes place in Michigan. It also had Mary Stuart Masterson (joon from benny and joon, also in fried green tomatoes) and that guy from the tv show Wings (and the movie Jeffrey). there was a standing ovation at the end.. we were in like the sixth row or something. it was pretty cool. it was matthew's first time at a proper play (as opposed to a musical or british pantomime)..
so, yeah, that was almost two weeks ago now..
i had a bit of a sad spell - hard to explain my emotional cycles - just after my birthday.. and it was just clearing up before valentines day. but i think this whole chelsea thing sorta shot that to hell.. it is still upsetting me. valentines day was as nice as it could be, sorta felt like matthew's flowers and stuff were half in consolation and half for valentintes day. I was just really thinking i'd get to see her in the summer. and i don't like to think of the house being that quiet and empty.
anyway, i planned to do stuff everyday this week - work three days, and go to london the other two to help an artist friend of mine who is preparing for a show.. anyway, i went yesterday to help him, but came home exhausted and got a bit upset again, woke this morning with a sinus headache, so i've basically been asleep today getting rid of it. - instead of going to london again to help.
It's 'half-term' here, so kids all seem to have the week off.. so everywhere in town, there are just kids everywhere - the shopping centre feels like a high-school hallway.. and the trains to and around london where a little extra packed..
mmm
well, anyway, that's what's up with me..
