Happy 2008!!
In a semi-impromptu visit, Leigh is hangin' with me in the Emerald City for New Year's festivities. We headed down to the Space Needle tonight to watch the fireworks show, spending the couple of hours leading up to it listening to a pretty sweet 70's/80's cover band, playing SkeeBall, and slowly making our way around a minigolf course. I foolishly forgot my debit card in an ATM at the beginning of the night, which displeased me greatly. If the Seattle Center people don't have it in their possession by tomorrow morning, I'll have to call Washington Mutual and get the thing canceled. Boy, will that ever be a pain. :-P
The fireworks display was interesting, since apparently the computer controlling it glitched, stopping the fireworks completely in the middle of the show for a good minute or so--twice. Once they got going again, they were still pretty awesome, but two extended dead spots were somewhat less than thrilling.
But hey, now it's 2008! It feels very strange to me somehow... wasn't 2000 not all that long ago?
