Bring on the Funny

Last night I went to Giggles Comedy Club on Roosevelt Way to see Adam do his stand-up routine. There were four different comics, and I was really impressed with the quality of comedy at the show! I've seen so many stand-up routines that are just painful to watch that I'm a bit jaded about them in general, but all four of the guys who took the stage last night got me laughing. In my opinion, Adam was the funniest, though it's possible that I am slightly biased in his favor. ;-)

A guy named Andrew--with whom I went to elementary school and have known pretty much since he was born--was the opening act/emcee. That was an unexpected surprise! It was pretty exciting to realize I knew 50% of the acts personally. :-D

Afterwards there was a Shorecrest gathering-type-deal at the bar next door, and I had the opportunity to catch up with a bunch of people that I hadn't seen in forever. It's really cool to hear about the turns everyone's lives have taken since I last saw them. I had a blast, and I highly recommend that anyone who knows Adam (or doesn't...whatever. I'm sure he's not picky.) head on down to Giggles tonight. There are two more shows to catch.

Trust me, it's funny stuff. He made me cry.

...in, y'know, a laughing sort of way.
