So today was day 2 of Christmas. Yesterday we celebrated with my Uncle Larry before he went back to PA. It was fun, we watched this show about Italians in Detroit or something. It was really inspirational until it became long and kinda boring. But all in all I love my Uncle Larry, and I love when he comes into town. We always joke that whenever he comes we have "throw out the red carpet and kill the fattest lamb." It may be true, but it's all in good fun. Before all that though, Franco and Vinny came over. They sorta got over their fear of Lady (yes, they are afraid of my 2 in tall dog). Vinny (age 6) actually picked her up and started chasing her and was more brave than Franco (age 9). It was cute, I have pictures, maybe I'll get them up soon. Then after they left we had Christmas Eve dinner Italian Style a day early. It's Italian tradition to have 7 types of fish on Christmas Eve to avoid having meat the day before Christmas. It's one of my favorite traditions because I love fish.
Then today we went to Franco and Vinny's house to celebrate Christmas Eve (American style). It was good times I guess. Vinny tried to read me a book...we got like 2 pages in before it turned into me reading. Not to much happened (besides them fighting), but my family is silly:
Jennifer: Tomorrow I want to wake up to the smell of pancakes and bacon.
Uncle Frank (her dad): Yea, ok
Frankie: You better go to bed at a Denny's.
(If you didn't catch it, pretty much every man in my family on that side is named Frank)
So now I'm working on my g'ma's Christmas gift. I'm transferring all of her recipes into a small binder bc her book is falling apart, dirty, and fading. It's taking forever though...
I want snow..and a boy...or that boy...but mostly snow.
.::Not Really Christmas::.
