Part two of game night was just as, if not more, enthralling than the first. We ended up playing card games until everyone showed up.
Golf is an instant classic. :D I have plenty of memories playing that with my grandparents and cousins. My grandpa'd always go for the worst cards because he thought they'd be easier to match into pairs. :P I taught it to my friends and we ended up playing a buncha hands. Then we hung around for a while, playing ping pong and collecting more hilarious quotes. Our entire class, both during our junior and senior years, would keep a running quote book of anything memorable, hilarious, awkward, and certainly out of context. :P
Next in the board game marathon was the Game of Life...plus a pedophile. :P It's the joke that keeps adding to itself. Brilliant, really. Again, like Pedophile in Candyland, we added the diver guy from the trap in Mouse Trap as a piece in the game. While the rest of us moved around in our little cars, my friend Michael would move the diver guy on the board but keep his "taxi" yellow car eerily next to one of our cars. Haha, and he put the pink wife piece in the back seat. :P We agreed that if you landed on the same spot as the pedophile, you had to spin best two out of three to see if he kidnapped one of your children. XD Two families were depleted of children that way. By the end, we didn't care who won. The entertainment was much more exciting.
Afterwards, Amanda and I insisted on playing Pretty Pretty Princess. Or rather, the guys had to because we beat them yesterday. And whaddayaknow, there were four of them. So Amanda and I had a giggle fit watching them fight over jewelry and acting pretty. Shame nobody had a camera at that moment. At the end, Michael didn't want to relinquish his yellow jewelry set. Amanda's mom came downstairs with dinner at that moment too. Very amusing.
I had to leave for piano, so they played Lord of the Rings Risk while I was gone. After I came back, we played Cranium. Upon randomly splitting the teams, Robert said that there was no same sex team. But he was on the same team as Michael. They sometimes make fun of him saying he's a girl because everyone beats him at arm wrestling and such. :P So there were even more quotes as Michael went on about their match being better than eHarmony.com. XD But then people had to leave, so our numbers decreased to four. We kept playing Apples to Apples, which remains the best game for groups of people. ^^ Especially after finding the red card "my body", which made for even more extreme bouts of laughter.
It feels good to be doubled over in laughter.
And piano lessons was only just a reaffirmation of what I already know. The other two songs are moving along a-ok, but I NEED to stop being lazy and put serious amounts of work into memorizing the Invention and into actually composing. >.< *insert Lucille Ball cry here*
