"Open our heads, let the pictures come"

I'm consigning myself to no sleep, aren't I? At least I got some movies watched today. I watched Velvet Goldmine, which I enjoyed. It's a story inspired by glam rock, about a Bowie type character. Gah, the clothes were so cool too. Gotta love some rock and roll drama. That and I saw Videodrome, which was also very very awesome. A film classic, I am told. The grotesqueness of it and the underlying meaning of being connected to technology...it's great. And I realized that they're both on youtube, so if you wanna watch em, be my guest. ^^

I made myself a new wallpaper. Haha, I was inspired by some random pictures. Oh, just look at it, then.

Haha, I showed a friend of mine, and he said that having the who as your stalkers would be very weird. :P Oh yes and the joker face, randomly. Oh...I amuse myself.

Man, I love the Silver Apples.

It seems like I've gotten so good at complaining, but not so good at actually doing anything. It's pitiful, really. I can say whatever I want, sure, but it doesn't mean that I actually am good at something. Sometimes I think I'm rubbish at whatever, but only because I realize that I can do that thing any old time I want...and I see that the talent is just an everyday occurrence, so I downplay it.

When is too far too far? This guy I talk to likes watching these horrid movies that are rated R even cut down. I don't understand how people can watch smut like that. He's been telling me to watch some cool movies, yeah, (like Videodrome, whoot) but the way that he goes about the sex and violence is so flippant. How much should we censor in movies and TV? Where exactly is the line between art and perversion? It seems like more and more, "artists" of directors show violence just to push the lines of art. Is shocking people art now? It's actually kindof sickening me. But then again, if I suppress other people's "art", then I'm being a horrible stickler, apparently. >.<
