Sometimes I think this box is like that vial they give to you at the doctors. Then they send you off to the bathroom to go fill it up. Awkward, really. It's just blank, staring at you. Then you feel obligated to fill it up with your pithy nothings. And then it's sent off to be analyzed by somebody you barely even know.
Anyways, all last night our power was out. It was out from 5:45 pm Saturday until 7:20 pm Sunday. >.< And because we run off well water, we didn't have any running water, either. I had to shampoo my hair using a water bottle. Heh. And that afternoon/evening, my brother and I were home alone. This is called entertainment 2.0, folks:
That's right. Laptop movie ("It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World"), cereal, and candles.
This means alot of playing with candles:
And their lighting effects in pictures.
And, of course, before it got dark, I played with my camera and danced around like an idiot whilst listening to my favourite jams. For that day, it was stuck on The Who. ^^
Dogs and brothers make good photograph subjects.
And I played around with creativity. (Well, all I did was put my finger over the flash light)
Yes, if only the water wouldn't go out during a power outage, I'd have such fun. ^^ There really are tons of things to do besides watch TV and go on the computer. And I enjoy loads of them. Just...I like the All-American virtue of showers. The whole floating about in a pile of your own oil just doesn't do it for me. >.< But anyways, besides that water business...I do like candles. And we got halfway through the movie before our parents got home. It's pretty good. Kinda like an early version of the movie "Rat Race".
We got our class schedules in the mail that Saturday too. My parents had the mailbox key in their car, so I had to break into my own mailbox. All the passing cars must have thought I was some sort of crazy mail thief, but I'm not, I promise. I managed to jimmy out the envelope with our schedules on it. Mine's as expected. The classes I picked are on there, they're in an order...you never really know until first day. I've never been too anal about who's in my classes or in what order they are, so whatever. I'll post it for old times sake, I guess:
1Physics2Theology and Romans3Social Studies: Understanding the Times4AP English5Economics6AP European History7Art II They're classes, right? I'm taking all the hardest classes that our school offers because my parents pay for it. There's no way I'm taking a study hall. I can pull assignments out of thin air, at this rate. >.< The dreaded "baby" assignment, yeah, that's in "Understanding the Times" because we don't have health class. Heh heh, I think that's kinda funny, the whole not having what class and having something instead... Oh, the odd changes a private Christian school makes. Thing is I think I thought I understood the times, but you see, the Times, they are a changing... so I think that class should just automatically be discounted. But do they listen to me? Nah. And during senior year, we switch from UtT and Econ to Speech, Goverment, and Computer Lit. Don't ask me how they do it. They splice them up into quarters instead of semesters or something. Either way, we still have to spend time pretending not to know how to use a computer and we get very little time in the best class ever: Speech! Haha, my secret love. ^^ It really is. I'm anxious for that class at least.
I actually went to go see friends today. An old friend, too, from two years ago. We went over to his house and played guitar hero and Wii and chatted about PSP and cat macros and neopets. Yeah, neopets. He still has 2,000,000 neopoints. >.< Kid needs some fresh air, methinks. I vote on a hike as the next activity, lol.
Anyways, I've been up MUCH later than I wanted to be. But, this has given me some good time to listen to the Kinks. I was watching Youtube videos of the Kinks. They're really amazing.
