So pretty much I'm almost to/right at 10 pages of my report and let me tell you I'm sick of hippies. I wasn't too fond of them to begin with. I have the same view of them that George did. He expected them to be nice and clean and friendly, but they were all dirty and high. >.< So not my scene! My scene is the Underground in London. ;)
And I'm quite proud of my outfit today. (I know, how girly is that?) I have the angel winged shirt going on (I'm really feeling the need to pound out some rockin' guitar riffs with a little windmill action a la Pete Townshend) and I have a reddish pink belt on (my mom's from the 80s ^^). And I have no red eyeshadow...sadsad, so I used this red lip pencil as eyeliner! It actually worked out really well. Now I feel so clever...but really I'm not. Just let me continue to deceive myself into thinking such, please. kthx. :P

So, I attempted yet again to get plugged into modern music. Last night I gave the Raconteurs' new album a listen. There are a few wins- about 2 or 3 good songs (I like "Hands" alot and "Steady as She Goes" is ok), but on quite a few of them there's just too much repetition. I lose interest in easy riffs, sorry. I'll have to give it another listen when I'm not half asleep, then do a real critique on it. Oo, that's a great idea. I'll do professional style critiques of albums! I have yet another job for over the summer now...
Plus, this morning, I was thinking about that line in "I Am the Walrus" that mentions "elementry penguins singing Hare Krishna, man you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allen Poe". And my thought progressed into thinking about how Poe and his writings could have affected the Beatles (namely John). I mean, they put Poe on the cover of "Sgt." That has to count for something. It'd be interesting to research. Like how Romanticism and the "original detective story" writings (as that is whom Poe is said to be) could affect the lyrics or even the musical compositions of the Beatles. *sigh* Yet another musing for people restricted only to people with way too much time on their hands...sadly, not me.
Alright, back to that ghastly report...
