Mmm k, so my brother Tivo'd VH1's top 100 (or was it 50?) internet superstars. It was pretty good, lemmie just say right now. ^^ Ask a ninja was on there! I was very excited for them. They did have some dumb ones and of course the classics (lonelygirl15, Numa numa guy, star wars kid, Ok Go's treadmill dance, etc.) were on there. I felt like an old pro because I knew a vast majority of them. It's kinda weird to know more pop culture than your mother. In this case, my brother and I totally did! Just...that's weird. I do like this whole subculture on the internet thing because it gives me alot of access to it! Yay for being involved. ^^
Here's a meme from
xwaterloosunset. It's to post the vids to your top 5 songs at the moment.
1. The Kinks- Sunny Afternoon (This song's so catchy and uplifting! I've been listening to the Kinks like crazy this past week)
2. Grateful Dead- Casey Jones (I love this song! It's been stuck in my head for ages!)
3. Led Zeppelin- Whole Lotta Love (cuz there's none for "Fool in the Rain", but this one rocks as well. Seriously, Led Zep just plain rocks. They practically are rock itself!)
4. Pink Floyd- Saucerful of Secrets (One of the few videos that're on youtube that predate 1988. I wanted to put up Time, cuz that's been stuck in my head, but this is a great video. Simply awesome with Roger beating the crap out of that gong. XD)
EDIT: Oops, I meant to put up THIS version of Pink Floyd's Saucerful of Secrets with the funny gong beating. ;)
5. Mew- Am I Wry? No (Currently one my favorite Mew songs. Hopefully I'll go see them in concert during spring break!)
Yeah, so those are my latest faves...roughly. There's some good footage there. ^^ Now, I'm still stuck on Youtube watching all these live in Pompeii videos of Pink Floyd. Let me just say that the interviews are great. Nick Mason going on about "No crust" on his pie. "Sorry, Nick, they're making circular pies now." XD Pink Floyd's amazing. Man, I'm so obsessed... Just what I need, another band to be completely obsessed with, right?
Today we had crepes for breakfast at this little crepes shop in a nearby city. I had one with turkey, then I split a banana and chocolate one for 'desert' with my brother. It was delicious! Those French people really know how to buzz up in the morning with all that sugar. Then, we went and looked at some Jags because my dad is (even though he doesn't want to admit it) going through a mid-life crisis. That's ok, just as long as I get to drive it. ;) And then we went to go get some extra memory (extra disk drive) for this computer cuz my stuff's all stored on it (music, pictures, photoshopped pictures, videos...) and I just need to clear it onto storage to make it run faster. Then, I went home and worked on my crazy load of homework...all afternoon until dinner.
So, basically I have all the homework in the world and here I am on LJ and Youtube and Facebook and IMing people...yeah, I'm a terrible person. lol. I'll get it done. This is my break time, so it's lasting way into the night. After church tomorrow, I'm picking right back up where I left off. I made some good ground earlier so I should finish on time...if I can think up more points on how Haight- Ashbury affected voting and politics for my outline.
