I love strange times of day...especially when you can spend it chatting with people about nothing at all. :P I ended up waking up around 2 pm, but it's all in good fun.
*deep breath* Let's all just repeat this mantra: I will get everything done before classes start. I will get everything done before classes start. I will get everything done before classes start...
The world's too big and my room's too small. And anything else in between involves money for some gratingly annoying reason.
Things I've learned over break: Friends are friends no matter how much time has gone by since you've talked to them. + Home is colder than where school is. + At home, for some reason, I no longer exist on hugs. + I *need* my guitar. + No matter how good your intentions are, your goals won't all get accomplished. + You never get kisses when you want them. + I become nocturnal whenever given the chance to be. + You can never read all the books you want to read. Ever. + Don't be scared to call people, even if it will bug them. + Life can be as interesting as a book if you choose to write it that way. + Money is one of the harsh realities of life. Deal. + It's not pitiful to rely on LJ. Sometimes it's cathartic. + Chances are, your friends are as bored as you are. Change that. + Get a job. + Garageband is addicting. Moreso than drugs. + Exist in a journal. + Parents are only human too. + Social maneuverings are a game that you sadly have to learn how to master. + Be passionate about what you want to be passionate about, even if nobody you know has even heard of it before. + Memorize things you want to stick in your head. Put time into it. + Make everywhere a place you feel comfortable. + Make new year's resolutions. + Consider the distant, distant future every once and a while. + Be open to new ideas. + Growing up is tough. Responsibility sucks. + It doesn't matter if things rhyme. + Create, even if it's abysmally horrible. + Love unconditionally. Period. + Listen to what other people are passionate about, without interrupting them. + Hike. + Enjoy nature while you have it in front of you. + Taurus is directly above Orion, fyi. + Forgive. + Make it so that you can consider your acquaintances your friends. + Keep your cell phone on and your IM window open, but not your facebook chat. + Don't categorize people. It restricts your view of them. + Befriend your family members. + Have your brother's phone number on speed dial. + Playing the harp isn't too difficult. + Nothing says amazing folk music like playing the dulcimer. + Make your own rules and bend the ones already in place. + Even a party that you think will be crappy may turn out to be way awesome. + If you're scared of the possibilities of the future, you're on the right track. + Visualse the mundane as poetry. + People can surprise you. Talk to them. + Get plenty of sleep.
And on that note...heh. Off I go to babysit. Wheee...
