"I'm not rich and I'm not free"

Talk about one of the more boring weekends out there... At least Thursday was interesting. Heh.

Friday, I ended up talking on the phone for three hours with a friend back home who was insanely lonely. It seems like all my friends are going through that *bam* brick wall of homesickness. I mean, she stayed home and is going to a community college, but it's like a ghost town with all our friends gone. It doesn't help that another of my friends posted up our Sophomore year French class movie to youtube. They've all been watching it again and falling like flies to the scary monster of loneliness. Me, on the other hand, I went through this already. I've always been in a perpetual state of loneliness and I've learned to accept this. High school was full of "friendships" and empty hours self-analyzing. College is where I've managed to step out a little bit more. So my friend that I talked on the phone to came and visited me for dinner today. I hope she'll be alright.

Speaking of that French class movie...I'm posting the link so you can see a) how pitiful the French in the movie is, b) how little I looked in Sophomore year, c) the awkward social tension between me and my movie "boyfriend" (that in real life I had a huge crush on that year), d) how much of a loner I was that year because I missed out on most of the memories made by the movie, and e) so you can make fun of me. Horrible memories for me to look back on, all in all.

Beware. That is part one of Katrina's embarassing high school moments. We all got a collective A+ on this movie, btw.

I did manage to watch "The Science of Sleep", "The Prophecy", and "Pan's Labyrinth" so far this weekend, though. What? Really...I have three papers I have to finish in the next few weeks? Really?
