Here's the pier down on Fisherman's Wharf that sea lions have taken over.
They were very loud. Here's a closer shot:
And two pictures from Muir woods--it's across the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin county. Very pretty and also where George Lucas filmed the ewok parts of Return of the Jedi.
It's a redwood grove, but they're smaller than the ones in Yosemite (but there were more of them). I highly recommend, though it was pretty crowded.
