Today is moving day - I'm finally getting off the island! The best part about moving in December, during the holidays, with a crazy work schedule, was that it would at least not be hot out.

Anyway, I have some very lovely friends who are coming to help me cart away my massive amount of crap, and then I'll have tomorrow off to nest in my new apartment in downtown Sarasota. I'm so happy to be back there... I didn't realize how much I missed it until I started spending a lot of time driving around town again. Even though work will be 30 minutes away, all of my friends and leisure activities will be right there. Since *everything* was 30 minutes away before, I'm okay with keeping the long commute.
Off to do last-minute packing...
