I'm not sure how many of you participate in LIMS icontests (I know a few of you do). I've participated in a couple of them this past year and have really enjoyed the experience. First of all, they are challenging. They are a great way to experiment and get some real feedback, critique and possibly even suggestions. It's a great way to expand your icon-horizons!
Most recently, I took part in starwars_lims and was extremely pleased to have lasted up until the 9th challenge. There are some truly talented icon-makers over there and I urge you to go check them out.
Anyway, here are my entries and all of my alternates for Round 1. Remember the whole 'challenge' thing, and yes - there are several variations which I normally don't save. I went out of my comfort zone on several of them and the results are a bit... well, whatever. Although every now and then I think I might've done what I was intending to do. :)
If Star Wars isn't your thing (and why isn't it?), there are a few other LIMS contests I could recommend if anyone is interested.
