I don't know if any of you thought about this, but just because Ingwë's gone does not mean there is no form of law and order in this city. You can't descend into complete anarchy just because he leaves. HE IS NOT THE KING OF THIS CITY. He's the king of elves, yes, but that's mearly a figure-head position. He stops in the city every few thousand years to make sure everything is running well and get in touch literally with the population. HE DOESN'T ACTUALLY DO ANY GOVERNMENTAL WORK. If there's something he would like changed there is a council and the idea is presented to the governmental authority of the city, ME! Finarfin. He doesn't make the laws here and just because he's gone does not mean you can break the laws.
This city was founded on principles of sex -- this is Finwë we're talking about here order, common welfare, and respect. In general we let you get away with EVERYTHING so long as it doesn't involve harming another person. I don't want to have to start pressing charges and doling out punishment for minor offences like destruction of property and petty theft, but I will if you don't learn how to settle these things yourselves. If you want to act like children you will be treated like children.
Now. We're going to work through all the problems here and now. Form a line.
Also: QUIT TRYING TO TAKE OVER MY CITY AND I MEAN YOU!!! And I would have thought that you would have enough sense to realize that overthrowing a monarchy to instate a dictatorship is more deleterious than helpful. And pointless, really.
