The many moods of LJ...
I don't know who came up with the list of different moods on LJ, but whoever it is has a very bizarre mind, indeed. Who would ever describe their mood as "exanimate?"
Well, I will at some point in time now. I've decided that I want to write a post for every mood in the LJ list. I'm going to start at the top, and work my way down (to be methodical about it), so we'll see what happens.
Today's mood is "aggravated." Actually, it was Friday's mood...
So I'm heading down to PDX for the weekend. I decide to leave Friday after work rather than Saturday morning so I can sleep in on Saturday. I dawdle a bit before leaving town, so as to avoid some of the traffic. I get through Tacoma, which is about an hour of driving, and then realize that they keys to my parents place are sitting on my kitchen counter.
I keep a separate keychain for my "Portland keys" so I don't look like a janitor when walking around with my big keychaing full of keys. Usually it doesn't matter so much if I have them or not, I just need to coordinate around my parents schedule. But my parents are in Yakima, on their way home from a two month long road trip and won't be home until Saturday afternoon.
I could have gone and stayed in a motel somewhere , but rather than packing clean clothes I had packed a load of laundry and planned on washing my weekend wardrobe when I got to their place with the washing machine and dryer that don't require quarters.
So add another two hours onto the journey... at least there was no traffic on the road when I finally got moving with the keys in hand.
