I finally got to take my sister to Raglan Road. It was AWESOME!!! We're probably going to make it a weekly event and that works for me. The band was in tip top shape last night. Johnny, the singer, was in true form. Seemed like everyone was celebrating, not that that's unusual at an Irish pub. We were celebrating Kelley's return from deployment, Shane (band member) just became a Daddy twice over with twin boys weighing in at 6lb 14oz, and the drummer (who's name escapes me atmo) was celebrating a birthday. With songs from John Denver, Garth Brooks, Dropkick Murphy's (though Johnny denied it) and old Irish drinking and general pub songs it made for a memorable night.
On to another favorite subject of mine, Noah Whyle, or more specifically his The Librarian movies. In the first Librarian movie, Noah's character Flin is appointed the responsibility of being librarian to the worlds greatest and most evil wonders, saving the world, and protecting artifacts. He finds himself falling for Nicole, someone hired from the library to help protect him as he goes to recover the spear that Jesus was speared with. So fast forward, the world is saved (of course), him and Nicole ride off together on another mission. In this movie, Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, Flin must protect the secrets passed down through the generations while dealing with the deceptive secrets about his father. With so many twists and turns in the story, you're either really confused at the end or understand it, but wish they could have been a little less happy fairytale ending. Granted, he doesn't end up with the girl (sorry if it ruins it for you), but all the bad guys die and the good guys escape the exploding mountain. Once again, Flint is left alone to forever be alone in his nerdy-I-live-with-my-mother-and-she-sets-me-up-on-dates-with-women-I'll-never-end-up-settling-with. Can we please get him a woman... or at least a steady relationship?
Oh yeah, we're hoping to close on our new house by the 20th... Hopefully the home inspection will go much better... I'll definitely keep all you bloggian's in the loop.
