I've had many of the same thoughts, recently. I've stayed away from writing and photography, because the emphasis our society places on subjectivity is getting irritating. Every teenager thinks they're special, unique, and that their own signature view of the world needs to be expressed and lauded. I find myself disgusted by that sense of self-importance and "depth," and it's truly hard to find valid (in my jaded eyes) expression, or art that's actually GOOD by anyone's standards besides the writer's and their friend's.

Brandeis is definitely not worth it for Fine Arts. I'm only there for premed. If I decide to be an interior designer/graphic artist instead, I'm planning on leaving and going to Pratt, FIT, or U of H or something.
