Everytime I turn around you're in my face.

So my phone is officially working but it's definitely suffered some water damage. lol. Hey, at least it's working. Am I right? I think if I didn't have my phone I'd quite literally die.

The boy took me to see American Gangster last night. Courtney was giving me her typical movie synopsis about it the other day and right then, I decided I had to see it. Everyone was telling me that it was a long movie (and I guess it was) but honestly, I enjoyed it so much that I didn't even realize how long it was. It really was an interesting story and I'm in love with all the true crime drama. It's just so amazing to me.

Although Frank Lucas will probably become my new obsession, I don't understand how he, or any other gangster, can simply step outside his local breakfast nook, shoot his enemy point blank in the head, and then sit back down to breakfast. I mean, I guess it was the time. It was the culture. The gangsters kept everything in house, took care of business behind close doors, and made sure that they always got paid. Everyone thought the mafia was bad but really, they were just out to protect their own people. They owned everything and they made sure that their families, business, and money was always in safe keeping.

Makes me proud to be who I am, in a manner of speaking. lol.

Anthony and I kept cracking up because of all the Italian references in the movie. Although they were milidly derogatory, they were somewhat amusing.

Russell Crowe: I don't associate myself with the crooked cops just like you don't associate yourself with the Italians.
me: Hey, now.
Anthony: *taps my leg* It's just a movie, babe.
