now for some prosaic daily bits that prove my artsy unmanliness

i spent two hours today pushing, pushing, yanking, prying, and beating viciously my headlight mount on my car, trying to get it loose to replace a dead bulb that i've been meaning to get to for over a week. this was the first time i had to replace anything since i bought the car, and whoever replaced a bulb before did me the courtesy of stripping out those annoying little star-screws so i had to work them out slowly and painfully with a knife, screwdriver, and wrench. after that, the whole thing was still wedged in place, probably due to 10 years of not being moved or touched at all. my mom's boyfriend came out to see what was taking so long and i had to hurriedly convince him things would not be expedited by a hammer and chisel. as it was, he broke off a few more chunks of my car, then thankfully got attacked by the neighbor's dog so i could finally get the casing open, change the bulb, and be done.
