global warming... or climate change... or inclimate weather... or something

Did a scientist really say that there is a difference between climate and weather (and that the public needs to be educated on it)?

climate n. The meteorological conditions, including temperature, precipitation, and wind, that characteristically prevail in a particular region

weather n: 1. The state of the atmosphere at a given time and place, with respect to variables such as temperature, moisture, wind velocity, and barometric pressure.

sounds rather like trying to educate the public that a square is also a rectangle

remember when we just looked at the Farmers Almanac for these little things and didn't have to hire entire agencies just to monitor it, and turns out it was just as accurate?

I still say... if you want to save the Earth from humanity, though I think that shows a rather poor understanding of the 'circle of life', invest in space exploration and terraform dead planets. Live out your utopias on another planet. There is plenty of space for your social and meteorological experiments in the galaxy. If you die from some Andromeda Strain, it was all in the name of science and will be used for the benefit of the next people with god complexes. Right?
