Yes !!!
Finally I managed to get hold of the recording studio to book my voice over whoop whoop! And I've now seen the finished Italian version of the film. Its ummmmmm, well its looks like what it is; a very low budget independent arts film, but the message is very interesting. I particularly enjoyed the beginning where it looks at how things have changed for the African immigrants from what they're used to. My main worry it must be said now is that seeing the girl I'm going to be playing I really don't see how people are ever going to believe that my voice is coming out of her. Shes way older than me for a start and I think it wont look right. But hey its the directors decicion and I'm sure as hell not going to complain :p
Anywho in other news I got an email from someone who found an old One Piece fic of mine floating round on the web and added it as a favorite, which made me very happy and also all nostalgic, havn't written anything in so long. Anywyaz thought I'd put it up, its more a drabble than a story, very very short but still, while I'm in the mood. It was the first thing I ever wrote, ahhhh the memories.
The Sea of Dreams
They sailed on a sea of dreams.
A sea of dreams that ebbed and flowed to the pulses of theirs own hearts etching a path in history, away from the pain and heart ache of the past and onward towards a glorious future.
When the sun shone it warmed their hearts as well as the weathered wood of the ship. It dried the tear like streaks of moisture trickling languorously down the sails. It smiled down at them as they smiled unashamedly back. What would today bring? Where would they go? What brand new adventures awaited them on this endless expanse of gleaming ocean that their glowing ship so effortlessly steered through?
When darkness came the ship was engulfed, swallowed by the lingering gloom of the night. Storms ravaged, tearing at the rigging, pounding on the doors demanding to be heard. The once sapphire calmness turning into an angry swell beating down on the tiny vessel threatening to sink it into the never-ending darkness encompassing the ship. But, the crew would pull together, hold firm to the wheel, raise the anchor, repair the damage and stay together, sheltered from the storm. The ship illuminated by a solitary candle shining out persistently, defying the darkness.
When the stars shone they dazzled and the moon kept a silent vigil over the sleeping ship. The winds that billowed in the sails pushing the vessel on were constantly changing. Sometimes warm, sometimes tender, sometimes violent and sometimes barely a whisper But always the wind whispered of far off places and carried with it the different aromas of a thousand different islands, a thousand different memories all distinctive and all with a different story to tell.
And when the sun set the dying embers burnt bright, seeping their colours into the waters turning the sea red; a promise of the blood, magnificent and beauty still to come in their journey and fuelling all of their desires and dreams.
And so on this sea of Dreams and wander, they sailed.
Of course I don't own anything I just wish I did :)
Oh and its my birthday in 2 days YAY !!!!
