Love Songs, Valentines, Chocolate, and Kisses Cannot Compare.....
Happy Valentines Day everyone! I am in such a good mood now (despite the fact that I am suffering from a cold and major sleep deprivation) It is my "special day" as most of you know (lol how could you forget with my constant reminders?) Thought I was going to have to do a Debate on my Birthday... stayed up til 3 am doing it, but class has been cancelled and so I had time to relax and reflect in the library. I am leaving school early as a treat to myself but before I go, I leave you with this blog from MySpace... I posted it today and thought I'd spread the love to faithful LJ users everywhere.... -God's word is so right here.... Love is the greatest force a human heart can ever know because it touches so deeply to so many parts of our lives. Love is so abundant it can be found most anywhere on this lovely little globe. To tell you all the truth, I haven't "felt" these ideas to be true lately. I sound all optimistic but really my own heart has been mending and yet falling into despair at times. I've been feeling pretty down, wallowing in self-pity, but I realize that I don't have to feel that way and you don't either (that is unless you love misery and enjoy it's company).
Whether you're in a happy relationship with someone or alone and heartbroken this Valentine's Day, know that Someone loves you... Think of all the times in your life you have been touched by love. Think of the people who have brought joy to your days and nights thus far. Think of the experiences which have made you who you are today.
-I love my parents for instilling values and faith into my heart and for living love out for me to witness...
-I love my friends for supporting me as I've changed from a little girl, to an ackward teen, to a young woman. From fad to fad, relationships and breakups, tears and smiles, memories... they've been there for me and still love me for who I am in this moment.
-I love this life I have been blessed to lead. Though times get hard I just have to take time out like this to reflect on all I have and all I'm grateful for.... I know Someone loves me. When I can't see my future and my past is haunting me, I can look beside me and find God. I can find myself. I can find love.
