Lol...I felt really stupid walking into our "dress" rehearsal, because no one else was in concert dress (tux). All my other groups mean to come in concert dress when they call a rehearsal a "dress" rehearsal. I've been in the treble chorus long enough that I should have remembered that they don't actually mean it when they say that, but I was so exhausted and it slipped my mind...I just seem to make that mistake periodically...maybe once each year I forget.

We're not even allowed to have water bottles with us in the Methuen Music Hall, though...I got very little sleep, didn't have breakfast before I came, and just brought water to drink but forgot I couldn't bring it with me once I walked in. I had forgotten my music because I was so tired and not really thinking clearly. My voice felt really dry and worn, and I felt lucky not to have fallen asleep before the rehearsal was over. So the dress rehearsal didn't exactly go well for me.

Funny how I still notice when the chorus goes flat even when I'm like barely awake...lol, when I'm not on stage and I don't think anyone's looking at me, you can probably figure out how in tune or out of tune the chorus is by how much I cringe when they're significantly off. And I have this weird habit of sometimes turning my hand up like I'm turning a volume knob when they're below pitch. I think I started that a while ago in school chorus rehearsals when I was halfway trying to signal to someone that they were flat...usually in sectionals where I had nothing else to do...It's sort of funny, actually...lol

I came home after the rehearsal, took a 2 or 2 1/2 hour nap before getting up to go online and update my LJ...and I'm still feeling sort of tired, though not totally exhausted like I did in the morning. Call time for me is 5:30, and I still haven't eaten anything today aside from a few tic-tacs I popped into my mouth before I left. So, off to get dinner. Bye everyone!
