Or you could just put all your alternate OSes in VMs and eliminate all the rebooting. (Full disclosure: I work for a VM software provider.)

VMware? I'm using it for my mail/web/proxy/drupal/sharepoint services right now. I like it but I have a guest OS clock problem I can't seem to solve.

Clock problems in guests, eh? Try disabling speedstep or any other dynamic CPU clock daemons on the host.

I don't think there are any running. At least not in the bios. Daemons on the other hand, I dunno. I guess I'll have to look at that more closely.

Ubuntu 64-bit is my host. I know it's a lot more bloat than I really need. I'm considering just snagging the images off and finding a cleaner OS to host it with, and I might be able to avoid a great many of these problems.
