The Phantom Affair
The morning after the Rogues' arrival, everyone meets up with Koyi Komad, the waitress who offered to provide a tour of the university and explain a bit about the local political situation.
It really is a beautiful planet. The university is carefully laid out, and the city around it just seems to fit. And the way that the massive forrests seem to form crisp walls around the urban areas is striking.
They're looking out over the blackened field where the Ghost Jedi legend was born when the tour is interrupted by Gade Yedan's arrival in a government speeder.
"Captain Antilles," he nods respectfully. Then he gives Koyi a slightly distasteful look. "If you had wished a guide you should have contacted me. I would have been happy to provide one. Anyway," he goes on, clearly suppressing a sneer, "Gyr Keela asked me to escort you to the council chambers. They will be meeting today."
Wedge frowns, his eyes narrowed. "Oh? Should I conclude that the 'new point' in our discussion has arrived? Maybe along with that Imperial shuttle which landed at dawn?"
"Very perceptive of you." Gade's voice is cold. "Shall we go?"
Wedge looks to his people but Elscol waves him on. "Go on, sir. We'll join up with the rest of the squadron at the hospital. Wes could use the company."
"After you, then," Wedge says to Gade Yedan, as he turns back to the speeder.
The trip to the council building is short and carried out largely in silence. Gade gestures for Wedge to step out first, as the landspeeder pulls up in front of the building.
