Cool stuff to check out for today...
I've been busy discovering cool stuff online that I'm gonna share with everyone. Just cuz I'm weird like that. *grins*
First, go check out my profile. That's the first discovery of today. It's just too adorable for words really. (under 'pimpage' - will take a minute or so to load, so just be patient, k? <3)
Secondly, this lady has awesome tutorials on how to make your own Japanese-style hair ornaments called kanzashi. The link is on deviantArt but it is well worth checking out, and for me to say that...yeah. Just looking at her gallery is eye-candy alone. She also has advice on how to design and sew your own kimono. <33333
At some point, I'm going to try out her tutorial. It's very easy for me to follow because I've done similar stuff in the past (in fact I'm going to make it out of paper rather than fabric, just to see how it works because that's what I'm most familiar with in doing this sort of thing), but her instructions are so easy to understand that you really don't need any sort of background to be able to do it like a pro. Give it a go and show me what you got! *grins encouragingly*
