Two good things about no longer living in the UK:
1)I no longer have to hear, while listening to the radio, the phrase "AndnowTheArchers", always followed what seemed like a nanosecond later by a horrible, horrible noise.
2)The tories. Although watching in horror from afar is bad enough.

One other thing about the UK: Although I'm unable to drive (I tried to learn and failed - which I understand is not uncommon amongst those with Asperger's syndrome), and I consider them poison-expelling death machines, I can still admire cars. And when I think of car brands I like, it is interesting that most are made in the UK: Aston Martin, Jaguar, Morgan, and Bristol. The latter day Rover also made some beautiful models (the MGs and the Rover 75). SAAB, a Swedish make, used to be on the list until GM bought the car division and destroyed it a bit over a decade ago.
The situation with Rolls-Royce, which several decades split into two companies, one that made cars and one that makes mainly aircraft engines, is a bit peculiar. Volkswagen bought the car company - and then found out that the right to use the brand (controlled by the engine company) was not included in the deal - that right was sold to BMW.
