I'm browsing through what is on offer at an on-line retailer. They claim that one of their products is "tried and tested". I'm aware of that product, and while that is technically true, whenever it has been "tried and tested", it has also failed.

"Look mommy! I was tried and tested at school today"
"How'd it go?"
"Uhm... I got an F!"
